Jennifer Leeper Nguyen  is a licensed practitioner of Acupuncture & Herbs in the state of California and certified by NCCAOM.  After growing up in the Bluegrass State and a lifelong interest in health and wellness, Jennifer started her formal health studies at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland where she graduated with a B.Sc. in Physiology.  From Scotland, Jennifer headed west to San Francisco, California to undertake a four year Masters program in Chinese Medicine at the American College of Chinese Medicine (ACTCM).

During her studies at ACTCM Jennifer interned in various clinical settings:  California Pacific Medical Center’s Stroke Rehabilitation Program, where she worked in a western hospital giving acupuncture treatments to stroke patients; The Community Ear Clinic, where she gave auricular treatments in a group setting;  The Jewish Home for the Aged, where she treated older adults and their many and varied ailments; and The ACTCM Clinic, a general practitioner clinic where she felt as if she saw almost everything. She was fortunate enough to study in KunMing, China at the Kunming Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  She volunteered with Misha Cohen of San Francisco’s Chicken Soup Chinese Medicine.  While in practice in San Francisco, Jennifer volunteered with UC Berkeley’s Suitcase Clinic where she gave weekly ear treatments to women who were staying at the shelter or those who came for the Suitcase Clinic’s weekly opening.  This incredible student run organization offers free healthcare three times per week to the un/underinsured citizens of the bay area.

She continues to do post-graduate studies in TCM Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Facial Rejuvenation, Dermatology & Chi Nei Tsang (internal organ massage). Jennifer really enjoys helping patients take control of their own health and well-being.  Her focus is on whole family wellness.

In her free time, she adores being a mother and wife, traveling, cooking, but especially eating, yoga, barre au sol, happy hour and exploring the magnificent city she calls home.
